In addition to the 40th anniversary of Legend of Zelda, the Nintendo classic action adventure game, which is to be celebrated in 2026, and which has produced a large number of defined hosts, amibo, models, clothing and surroundings, an American urchin spent half of its life collecting these surroundings and officially writing new world records.

Konstantine “Coz” Adams from Virginia received the gold world record certification from the 3,918 Zelda collection and became the maintainer of the world’s largest Zelda legend collection.

Adams and Zelda legends date back to 1993, and on his ninth birthday he received the NintendoGame Boy game ” Zelda Dream Island ” , although initially it was just an ordinary player, until 2000, when he officially opened a collection path and bought a series of games from NES to PS2.

The turning point occurred in the 2010s, when Adams had been defrauded on second-hand platforms when he purchased a large number of amibo dolls, and he was determined to bring all amibo together, with a special preference for the Zelda series.

As the collection grew, he even sold over 90 percent of the game collection in 2021, focusing only on the surroundings of the Zelda Legend.

Today, Adams’ collections are close to 4,000, filled with entire basements and presented as small museums. These are rare items, such as the Spanish-defined “time flute” mix, the Australian-defined scrolls (about 26 sets worldwide), the early promotion of the glitter panels, the retro-alarm clock, and so on.

According to official reports from the King’s World Records, Adams’ favorite collection is a doll trap he built with his own hand and dedicated to the theme of “Wea dream island ” , which takes one year to complete, not only to look at re-play the style of the game, but also to play with the strawberry pie.

He described this machine as “a love letter for Zelda and a souvenir of his own collection.”

Adams’ collection of Zelda’s legend is not only a personal hobby, but also a family. His brother remembers that they used to play “A Link to the Past” together when they were little, and is now so proud to see his brother become the ultimate collector.

The son of Adams, Lucas, will go through Zelda’s books and recite the name of the Devil, and call him, “He’s really great, and he’s got the world record!” And daughter Elena, when he got his certificate, kisses him and says, “Daddy’s collection is so cool that he can go to the Golden World record.”

His wife, while laughing that “it may not be necessary to have Zelda in the whole basement”, was fully supportive, while his parents praised his collection as “a museum dedicated to Zelda”.

Adams stressed that he would not stop collecting because of the lack of space, after all this passion, which had crossed for three generations, became an important memory of the family: “The Zelda made me feel nostalgic and happy, and the surrounding collections brought the feelings of our families closer together”.

At present, Adams, with a spectacular collection of 3,918 items around Zelda, has been officially certified as the King’s World Record, just like the 40th anniversary of the 2026 ” Zelda Legends ” series, the latest of which is the ” Zelda Without Two Seals ” , which will land in November in Switch 2, with an intergenerational love for the legendary series among fans.
